Monthly Update - August 2023
August is over, and we’ve geared up for another busy back-to-school season here at BC Tech! What was your favourite summer memory?
On August 21, we launched our Back to School Free Freight Sale, which offers free shipping for any requests received by September 15th. Now is the perfect time to outfit your classroom or school club with new tech! Be sure to submit a request soon - Sept 15th will be here before we know it!
We have also made some updates to our website and forms, including launching an updated page for Featured Inventory with a brand-new look and feel. Clients now have the ability to add Featured Inventory items to their “Cart”, before checking out with a new Featured Inventory form. You can also now make an account that will save your information and autofill the form for any future Featured Inventory requests. Check it out! Thanks to our repeat clients who let us know we could make this improvement (we do read and respond to survey feedback!)
While BC Tech is grateful to our donors for wanting to support schools and non-profits with their retired materials, there are still many items that we do not accept, including Cash Card Loaders and vending machine bill takers. If you are unsure about an item you would like to donate, please email DonorRelations@reusetechbc.ca or visit our Donate page.
Our website is being upgraded with improved navigation and ability to request different equipment. It will be much easier to filter items through our Featured Inventory and add them to the request form. We are looking forward to launching these changes in August.

This month we said goodbye to many of our CFS interns, including Ryan, Saoirse, and Liam. Thank you all for your hard work, and we can’t wait to see what you do in the future! We also spent some time visiting our donors and clients this month to film a series of interviews about their experiences with BC Tech! These were such great conversations, and we can’t wait to share them in the near future. Here’s a sneak peek of the behind the scenes!

Coming up in September we are excited to host another Featured Friday Garage Sale, and attend the CFS+ National meetings in Ottawa where there will be a celebration of 30 years of the program.
