Monthly Update - August 2021

And just like that, we’re at the end of another very busy summer at BC Tech! We hope everyone enjoyed it. We’re very proud of our team’s efforts to get computers to British Columbians this past month. Check out the graph below!

Many of our summer CFS+ interns are returning to school this fall. Thank you to Carrie, Norvin, Maelle, and Anshul for all of your hard work this summer, and best wishes for your futures!

As many may already know, August is the anniversary month of the CFS+ program. All month long we have been posting throwbacks and anecdotes on our social media to celebrate 28 years of Computers for Schools. For over 27 years we have been able to provide computers to Canadians, and job training to youth. We’re so thankful that the government of Canada has continued to fund such an amazing program.

It’s time to recognize some of this month’s incredible donors! First, we would like to give a huge thanks to Best Buy for taking the CEO Pledge and donating 100 laptops! Thank you, Best Buy! Thanks also to Arc’teryx, McCrea Immigration Law, and many Government of Canada departments for their continued generosity and support of BC Tech. We’re expecting 22 pallets in early September from the Department of Defense!

We are now heading into our busiest time of the year: Back to School! If your company is upgrading your devices now is the perfect time to donate your surplus tech. We will be sending out a lot of computers in the coming weeks!

Your Donations Matter.
Stay safe and healthy.
