Monthly Update - May 2026

The little goslings are back out in Burnaby Lake Park right across from our beautiful office space, which can only mean one thing: summer is almost here! Can you believe it? Without further ado, it’s time for our May recap!

In May, we distributed 677 devices with the help of our incredible volunteers (new and old) and 3 remaining interns. Help us support new organizations in BC this summer! Spread the word far and wide to your non-profit friends and partners about requesting tech from ReuseTechBC.

Schools and districts looking to upgrade their technology can get their large tech orders in this summer to be ready for the new school year in September. Did you know that we send out test devices to school districts? Get in touch with Luke to learn more.

Donations continue to roll in, but as always, we need more to continue to support non-profits, low-income families, and schools across BC with new-to-them technology. We are currently especially in need of 10th-generation and higher desktop computers. As always, devices that can run Windows 11 are a high priority, as many of our clients are still retiring their computers due to the migration from Windows 10, and will need to purchase a new device.

Thanks to our May donors, including Strategic Natural Resource Group. SNRG is the perfect example of a like-minded partner putting the needs of the community at the forefront of their mission. Check out their guest blog on what donating technology means to their company as an Indigenous-owned business.

As we look into our future as an organization, our Board of Directors has been working tirelessly to develop a new strategic plan for Computers for Success, which will continue to support non-profit organizations, schools, Indigenous communities, and libraries with low-cost technology.

The end of May was the end of Pooja’s internship at ReuseTechBC. Pooja was at the centre of our social media accounts for a whole year, creating, engaging, and strategizing. Thanks for everything, Pooja! We can’t wait to see where you end up next.

Your Donations Matter.
