Monthly Update - October 2023

We hope everyone had a great October and a happy Halloween! Did you witness any spooky happenings? Tell us about them!

We had a more relaxed month at BC Tech as we continued to bring new techs up to speed. We’re anticipating a busy holiday season coming up, so it’s never too early to get those requests in to make sure you get your devices in time for December. Give your clients the gift of a new-to-them computer. Request laptops and desktops now.

We’ve made our desktop packages Wi-Fi accessible! For $15 per unit, you can now upgrade your desktop package to include Wi-Fi. We will install a PCI card with antennas attached and ship the desktops ready to go. This option is only available for SFFs and Towers. We cannot guarantee Wi-Fi capabilities for mini PCs.

Thanks to our donors for your contributions this month, including Capilano University, MetaLab Design, TELUS, various Government of Canada departments, and 7 new donors.

Our executive director Mary-Em Waddington joined Business in Vancouver publisher Kirk LaPointe to discuss 30 years of Computers for Schools Plus, and the work we do to close the digital divide in British Columbia. Give it a listen!

In marketing news; we are so excited to be collaborating with donors and clients to start a brand new interview series on our YouTube channel. We’ve released two videos so far, featuring ActiveCo Technology Management and Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House. Be sure to hit that subscribe button while you’re there so you don’t miss a new video!

Do you have a story or want to share why you donate or request tech from BC Tech for Learning? We’d love to feature you in a video to share why we’ve helped make a huge impact in the community. The inspiring story we learned from Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House has happened thousands of times. Please reach out to marketing@reusetechbc.ca.

Your Donations Matter.
