Are you our next Secret Santa?

Last December, BC Tech for Learning provided 20 families with free laptops thanks to the generous support of Jat Saini Realty.

Give the gift of connection this holiday season. Donating $175 pays for the cost of refurbishing and shipping a laptop for someone in need. Any amount helps!

But why is a laptop a basic need?

  • People need to access online government resources.

  • People need to access their education online.

  • People need to be able to apply for work online.

  • People need to be able to communicate with loved ones.

Who are we?

For over 30 years, BC Technology for Learning Society has been providing free and low-cost refurbished tech to British Columbians in need. Our goal is to ensure that everyone in our province has equal access to a device, closing the digital divide.

We are a registered charity funded by Innovation, Science, and Economic Development Canada to deliver the Government of Canada’s Computers for Schools Plus program. Still, we also deliver the computer hardware portion of TELUS’ Internet for Good program, and our own program called Tech for Home, which both directly support individuals.

But don’t take our word for it…

Thank you very much for the laptop. This is a big help for me right now. I wrote a resume and made a LinkedIn page. Now it will be easier for me to look for a job.

Programs like this give people like me who are suffering a boost of hope. Having the option to purchase a refurbished computer at a reduced cost alleviates the stress of a large purchase.
