We hope everyone had an exciting October! There was lots going on with ReuseTechBC behind the scenes. Let’s dive right in!
Halloween haunts closed out October, but we’re bringing it all the way back to the beginning of the month, when we celebrated being named the winner of the Surrey and White Rock Board of Trade’s Environmental Sustainability award in the Small Business category! Our thanks to SWRBOT for the recognition, and congratulations to the other two winners.
ReuseTechBC supported ISACA’s Young Defenders of the North again this year. We are pleased to sponsor events with refurbished devices supporting youth I.T. learning and training. Do you run an I.T. event in the Lower Mainland? We might be able to support you with borrowed technology. Please get in touch with Mary-Em Waddington to discuss partnership opportunities.
“We had over 100 students this year! We couldn’t have run this event without your support in the use of the laptops.”
Thanks to our October donors, including Vancouver Island University, Cadillac Fairview, and Decoda Literacy Solutions.
Our heartfelt congratulations to our friends at Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House, who are celebrating their 50th anniversary! What an incredible milestone for an important cornerstone of the Mount Pleasant community. ReuseTechBC is proud to have supported MPNH with 111 refurbished laptops since 2020. Read about our collaboration on their website.
Coming up with ReuseTechBC
We are excited to host an event with Vancouver Tech Journal for I.T. leaders in the Lower Mainland in November.
ReuseTechBC is nominated for the Environmental Sustainability award at this year’s Burnaby Business Excellence Awards. We are looking forward to attending the event on November 13 with our fingers crossed for another win!
We are working on a Christmas Hamper project in hopes of supporting nonprofit clients with free technology this holiday season. As always, in order to refurbish computers, we need to receive computer donations! If you have devices to donate in November, we would be grateful to receive them ahead of this project. Fill out a donation form here.
