Monthly Update - August 2026
And just like that, summer has come to an end, and Back to School season is upon us! It felt like it flew by, but we hope everyone got to spend some time in the sun.
In August, 36 volunteers contributed 806 collective hours, cleaning, refurbishing, and packaging donated computers and laptops. Thank you to all of our volunteers for choosing to spend your time working with us; we truly appreciate it.
Making an impact in our community makes us feel good no matter what. But of course, receiving thank-you letters just makes that mushy feeling even better. Thanks to Luke and Aaron for always going above and beyond for our clients!
With ReuseTechBC’s Back to School season in full swing, don’t forget to put your request in soon if you need a device for the school year. September is one of our busiest months each year, and we want to make sure you get your computer as quickly as possible.
On that note, we are always seeking new donors to supply donated devices, especially during busy months. Please reach out to DonorRelations@reusetechbc.ca or fill out a form if you have tech to donate. Thanks to our August donors, new and old!
In July and August, we had 5 German work exchange volunteers come in and refurbish equipment with us. Thank you, Timon, Lennart, Simon, Max, and Robert, for all of your hard work! We hope you enjoyed your time in Vancouver. Auf Wiedersehen!
Coming up: ReuseTechBC is excited to announce that we have been nominated for two awards: Open Door Group’s 2026 Untapped Workplace Inclusion Awards in the Inclusive Culture Champion - Non-Profit category, and Surrey White Rock Board of Trade’s Surrey and White Rock Environment and Business Award in the Small Business category. We are grateful for the nominations and looking forward to attending these events in the coming months.
Your Donations Matter.
